This beautiful chair from the Djimma region, displays the classic stylistics of the great center of hand carving near Jiren, once the capital of the ancient Oromo autonomous kingdom. The openwork backrest has asymmetrical geometric patterns. The circular concave seat is supported by a tripod base. This type of chair was reserved for the exclusive use of chiefs and aristocracy.
