Description
The tea drinkers, circa 1740 Cardboard hand screen decorated on one side with an engraving of a work by François Boucher (1703-1770) engraved by Gabriel Huquier père (1692-1772) "Scene of Chinese life: tea". Two Chinese in front of a stall sharing a cup of tea. Mark "in." on the left for "Invenit", and letter "M" on the right. Reverse side in dominated paper with flowers and stars in green and brown. Turned wooden handle. H.t. 43 cm (wear, bends, holes)
