Embarkation for the Orient, circa 1700 Broken type fan in ivory finely pierced and painted with landscapes or port views in miniature and figures evoking China. In the center, a woman and a Dutch merchant smoking a pipe are discussing with a porter rolling a barrel. Nice ornaments on the border and on the simulated throat. The plumes carved with Turkish characters in turban and traditional costume. Reverse: resumption of the motifs of the face. H.t. 21,5 cm (wear, restorations)
