Portable writing-box. England, late 19th century. Rosewood frame with oriental-inspired decoration inlaid with bone and metal. The interior is filleted with lemongrass. The metal stops that hold the lid upright are missing. With its key. One of the drawers does not retain its handle. Measurements: 22 x 53 x 36 cm. Portable prismatic box-desk whose upper face has been decorated with bone and metal inlays with chinoiserie motifs, bordered by vegetal borders using the same technique. It has a hinged front lid and a metal lock at the top. On the inside, the front is divided into two registers, the lower one with three small drawers with a fillet in lemongrass wood, which is reflected on the inside of the hinged lid.
