Neaulme, 1729. 2 volumes in-folio, fine long-grained red morocco, right lace formed of a roulette, a double fillet and large scrolls, in the center a diamond-shaped cartouche bearing the mention a. irisson and decorated with special irons, smooth spine decorated, inner scroll, lining and endpapers of water green paper, gilt edges (Descordes jeune). Reprint of the 1718 folio edition, decorated with a superb frontispiece, specially engraved for this edition, a repeated fleuron on the titles, a beautiful portrait of the princess of Wales, engraved by Gunst after Keller, a title-frontispiece and 6 beautiful figures for the Lutrin, and about twenty large caps, all engraved by Bernard Picart. Very elegant binding by Descordes jeune, executed during the Empire. Slight spotting. One jaw cracked on 6 cm, small stains on the spine which are pinkish.
