Small folio, half Russian red leather, vermilion maroquined paper boards, gilt title on the first board, smooth spine bearing the title in full (Binding of the period). 31 beautiful lithographs finely colored at the time: 2 seascapes by Théodore Gudin, a genre scene by Horace Vernet, 5 military scenes including two by Nicolas Charlet, and 23 landscapes and country scenes, most of them animated with characters. Proofs cut out and mounted on buff paper. The title mentions 37 plates, so 6 lithographs have been removed from the volume by a former owner. Minor rubbing to the spine, slight restoration to a jaw.
