Amsterdam, Petrus Schenk, 1734. Together one volume of text in-8 and a large atlas in-folio, granite calf, spine decorated (Bindings of the time). First edition of this beautiful technical book on the construction of wind and water mills. The atlas includes 50 copper engravings numbered from I to L, arranged on 49 plates. It is accompanied by a volume of text, in Dutch and French. Old handwritten bookplate crossed out at the foot of the title pages. Both volumes are in period binding, but with different decoration. Missing 2 leaves at the beginning of the atlas (title-frontispiece and dedication). Restoration to the binding of the atlas (headbands, spines and corners), the calf chipping a little at the ends of the nerves. Small crack without missing in the bottom of the atlas' false title.
