Liège, Jean-François Broncart, 1701. 4 parts in 2 volumes in-folio, vellum, gilt title on the spine (Binding around 1900). NICE EDITION OF THIS JANSENIST BIBLE, illustrated with a large folding plate containing 16 biblical subjects and numerous headbands, finely engraved in intaglio by Harrewyn and G. du Vivier, 3 folding maps and a folding plan of the ancient city of Jerusalem and its surroundings. Wet stamp of the library of the Franciscans of Amiens on the title. Manuscript bookplates on one of the endpapers, one of which is from a parish priest of the Eure. The figures of Adam and Eve are redacted on the large plate. The title of the second part of volume II is erroneously marked tome I. Some repairs or paper reinforcement in the inner and outer margins of some leaves. Minor uniform foxing, wetness affecting several quires in volume II. Two spines cracked in one volume.
