Six bound Qur'an folios, Near East or North Africa, 9th-10th century Small oblong parchment folios handwritten on both sides with nine lines of text in kufic Arabic in sepia ink, the diacritical marks in red ink, the verses sometimes separated by green dots or floral motifs illuminated in gold. The text is continuous and is taken from Sura XII Yusuf, part of verses 37 to 63. Folios bound in a later brown leather binding with painted frames, the back covers covered with floral textile. Dim. folio : 11 x 17 cm ; dim. total : 11,7 x 17,1 cm Stains, slight folds, ink erased in places.
