Horloge - Lepaute à Paris - Epoque Empire
Lyre clock in white marble, gilt bronze, brass, glass and sea green marble. Decorated with laurel leaves, pearls and garlands of roses in gilt bronze. The dial bears the mark "Lepaute, Hr (Horloger) de l'Empereur place du Palais Royal à Paris. On its reverse side appears the mark DUB for Henri-François Dubuisson, master enameller received in 1769. The plate is chiseled with J? probably for Jean André or Jean-Baptiste Lepaute. 44 cm x 21x 13 cm. Condition to be checked. The back globe needs to be restored. The mechanism is numbered 816.
