Dark patina bronze casting depicting Krishna dancing on a circular base engraved with the petals of a lotus flower. His right leg and left arm raised in a dance step, his right hand holds the butter ball. The face with serene expression and hair raised in an apical bun. Indian literature tells of the mischief of the child Krishna, adopted at an early age by a family of cowherds, hence his association with gopies (cowherds) and with butter.
