A good copy, once preserved at Harvard College Library, of this incunabula edition of Persio's Satires printed the same year in Venice also by de Tortis. Folio (294 x 200mm). Later manuscript initials (without first blank like any other copy that appeared on the market that we could trace, some light staining, reinforcements at inner margin of the leaves, a small marginal wormhole at the lower corner of the second half and a few other single wormholes throughout). 19th-century red morocco signed in blindstamp on first endpaper [but not legible], gilt decorations on covers, spine, inlays and edges, marbled endpapers (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: some early annotations - Harvard College Library: The gift of Mary Bryant Brandegee in memory of William Fletcher Weld (with release stamp, exlibris). Capilettera compilati da mano posteriore (senza la prima bianca come ogni altra copia apparsa in commercio da noi esaminata, alcune lievi macchie, rinforzo al margine interno delle carte, un forellino di tarlo marginale all'angolo inferiore nella seconda metà e pochi altri forellini singoli che attraversano il testo). Marocchino rosso del XIX secolo firmato a secco alla sguardia [ma nome del legatore illeggibile] con fregi dorati ai piatti, dorso, dentelle e tagli, sguardie memorizzate (estremità leggermente rovinate). Provenienza: alcune annotazioni antiche - Harvard College Library: The gift of Mary Bryant Brandegee in memory of William Fletcher Weld (con timbro di rilascio, exlibris).
