Eugénie NIBOYET (1796-1883), woman of letters, philanthropist and activist for women's rights, central figure of feminism in the 19th century. 8 autograph letters signed to various correspondents. - letter of 1835 about her condemnation "even by body to pay the above mentioned bill", evoking also a letter of Marceline Desbordes-Valmore transmitting him notes on her family because "one has in the time charged me with her biography" (1835) - to M. de Malestrie about his financial difficulties and his work as a translator - to the publisher Jules Renouard, offering him his translation of Wulwer's last novel (1840) - to Eugène de La Merlière, editor of the Journal du Commerce, addressing her his tragedy Agrippine (1842). - to Madame Ganet inviting her to her house with several other friends, to hear some verses (1857) - to a poet on his book, heading of the Journal pour toutes (1867) - etc.
