Foot and tulip of chalice in vermeil 950 thousandth. The foot decorated in repoussé of heads of angels, pampers, reeds, ears of wheat and three medallions representing Christ, Saint John and the Virgin Mary. It is marked on the base " Mr. A.R. Maupoint, curé de la Trinité d'Angers ". Goldsmith : MARTIN and DEJEAN (inscription 1837). The plain tulip, with screw step. Minerva, 19th century. Goldsmith : could be PARAUD. (Restorations and light shocks.) Weight : 400 g. Amand-René Maupoint (1810-1857) began his studies at the college of Saumur, then at the minor seminary of Beaupréau. He was ordained priest on March 4, 1835, vicar of the parish of Notre-Dame in Angers. He was then assigned to the Trinité, one of the principal parishes of Angers. He was appointed bishop of Reunion Island where he died in 1857.
