* Alexander Ivanovich Kouprin (1870-1938) Autograph letter signed laid paper with two middle folds written in brown ink dated the evening of January 13, 1924 New Year's greeting written on New Year's Eve in the Julian calendar addressed to the couple Shutko. The author shares his misfortunes and the difficulties his family is going through in the Parisian exile. The transliteration that we give of the text is in reformed spelling, the original is in pre-reform Russian. Attached is a short IOU in ballpoint pen from Jacques de Choutko dated August 20, 1952.
