Suzuribako in nashiji lacquer on four corner feet, the lid and the sides decorated in gold hiramaki-e with several Mon, all different; the reverse side of the lid decorated with bamboos lacquered in gold on a nashiji background, the inside in nashiji on a black background, with a plate cut out in the shape of the inkstone and the mizuhire. (Dirt, slight wear, small shocks, small cracks in two corners; inkstone and mizuhire are missing)
