Buddha, Japan, Kamakura period (1185-1333) H. 33 cm. Lacquered wood Seated in the European style among the rocks, wearing a monastic robe with large folds. The face is serene: half-closed eyes, joined lips, elongated earlobes, the hairstyle surmounted by the cranial protuberance is treated in small concentric curls, the urna inlaid with glass. Beautiful movement of the body supported by the right arm. Provenance: 2005-2022.
