Man and bird, Eastern Han Dynasty China (206 BC - 220 AD), Gansu, Wuwei District H. 20 cm and H. 5,5 cm - W. 15 cm. wood (spruce) polychrome The man is standing with his hands joined. The face is indicated by large almond-shaped eyes and a moustache. The bird seems to be lying down and presents a beautiful polychrome decoration of white, red and black, where the eyes, the beak, the feathers and the wings are marked with geometrical patterns.
