This is most likely an advanced study for the central figure of Three Women at the Beach, 1923 (94 x 127 and 96.2 x 128.3 cm) reproduced under Nos. 1422and 1423 of the catalog raisonné of Henri Lebasque, Volume I by Denise Bazetoux. We also find this bather in a small study, oil on paper mounted on canvas, 24 x 33 cm sold in Lyon on June 2, 2015.
