Ville, it is indeed a view of the neighborhood of La Montagne, certainly the chemin de la Coulette in L'Étang-la-Ville, where the Roussel family moved after the birth of their daughter Annette, in November 1898. I would date the pastel around 1900, as the handwritten note on the back also suggests.
