"I dressed the Atelier chair with recovered selvedges from the Jules Pansu factory.
The idea was to give it substance and also comfort.
It is also a kind of interior garden that one can come to comb, cut, prune in its habitat like a small daily meditative ritual. That's why we add a comb to this chair so that people can smooth and untangle the bangs of the threads.
Houppette comes from the word Houppe: assembly of threads and strands that allow to form a tuft, so it's a perfect nod to this coiffed, messy, hairy, frayed and disheveled chair. "
