Elegant miniature violin clock in mother-of-pearl finely engraved and chiseled with a Louis XV style decoration with large acanthus leaves and godrons.
Dial engraved in mother-of-pearl with Roman numerals and minute track painted in black.
Gilded brass hand with sunburst decoration. Mechanical movement with external balance in working order (revision of use to be expected).
Superb object of curiosity which was offered around 1900 to the family of the current owner by Mr J.P Morgan and which was at the time preserved on the chimney of a very large doll's house. Presented under its period globe in blown glass and blackened wood base.
