A very nice copy. The spine of the slipcase slightly oiled. This edition reproduces exactly the work offered as a wedding present by Emperor Napoleon I to Empress Marie-Louise, including 50 views of Paris specially commissioned by the Emperor to Victor-Jean Nicolle. With an introduction and notes by Pierre Schommer, Chief Curator of the Malmaison Museum. Limited edition of 1.000 numbered copies.
