Bronze axes. Luristan, 8th - 7th c. BC. a) H 5cm, L 14,5cm. Chopping axe. Short, tubular spout, vertical, slightly flaring blade with rounded edge and horizontal neck blade. The spout is decorated with superimposed horizontal circles and a circular eye on the upper edge. Green patina, remains of sinter. Intact. b) H 7.5cm, L 10cm. Axe. Tubular spout with a straight blade at the top and sweeping out at the bottom. On the spout semicircles, two diagonal circumferential bands and three small knobs. Greenish brown patina, intact. 2 pieces! Provenance: Ex Sasson Collection, Jerusalem, since 1925.
