Two watercolor drawings of military figures signed lower left J.G., the first depicting three figures, a grenadier from 1799, a voltigeur from 1807 and a grenadier from 1809, all three from the 37th regiment of line, the second depicting a grenadier from 1820, a soldier from the center company from 1830, a fusilier from 1816 and a gendarme from 1840, all four from the 57th regiment of line infantry. These two watercolors are presented in the same frame with two cartouches specifying the regiment, gilded baguette frame 16 x 25 (each and sight), 44 x 55 cm (frame), late 19th/early 20th century, good condition.
