Delaby/Polar Star. Original plate n°4 of the unfinished album T4 "Les mensonges d'Aliénor". The master realized only the first 18. India ink signed and dated 1995. Nice collector's item. TBE+. 37 X 50 cm The first 18 plates of the album T4 were published in the integral published in 2014: first edition, 100 copies N°/S by Luc Delisse. Format 30 x 40 cm, presented in a leatherette box offered to subscribers. Complete in NB of the first 3 volumes, plus the first 18 exclusive plates of volume 4, with the scenario of plate 11. Afterword by Luc Delisse, with a 9 pages graphic notebook and a tribute to Philippe Delaby. Philippe Delaby (1961-2014) is a Belgian cartoonist who started his career in 1987 with the publication of his first plates in the "Journal Tintin". A first album in the register of the heroic fantasy will see the day in 1993. He starts with the success of the saga of "The North Star" (3T) in 1994 and imposes a style and confirms his maturity. But it is in 1998 that the great public success arrives with the creation of "Murena". Success which continues apd volume 5 of "Complainte des Landes perdues". In terms of influences, Delaby keeps a strong memory of La Griffe noire and L'Île maudite by Jacques Martin. He admires the works of Ingres, Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, Jean-Léon Gérome and Michelangelo, in particular La Pietà.
