Rodrigue Michel/Cubitus. Original drawing for the poster of the 14th Rochefort Comics Festival, illustrating Cubitus, Sénéchal and Médor. India ink signed and dated 2006. Quality work. TBE+. Michel Rodrigue (1961) discovered his vocation as a comic book artist after a performance of "Cyrano de Bergerac". In 1986, his comic book adaptation of Edmond Rostand's masterpiece was a great success. In 1987, he created the official mask for the 1st Rugby World Cup and the following year, he signed with Bom "The Conspirators", a series of gags for the newspaper "Tintin". From 1990, succeeding René Pellos, he produced three albums of "Pieds Nickelés", collaborated with the monthly "Rugbyman" and illustrated posters for festivals and circuses. In 1999, he published the first of three albums of "Doggyguard", a series of short burlesque stories conceived with Bob de Groot. 2003 will see the return of "Clifton" thanks to his drawing: "Jade", the 18th volume of this fabulous series is scripted by de Groot. With his accomplice Pierre Aucaigne, he succeeds Dupas from 2005 for "Nouvelles Aventures de Cubitus" : "En avant toute !
