Description
Skyphos with red figures decorated on one side with a standing man holding a stick. He is dressed in a himation and is wearing a plant crown. The other side is decorated with a seated young woman holding a box and a mirror. The area under the handles is decorated with palmettes and volutes. Pinkish beige clay with black glaze and white paint highlights. Breaks. Limestone deposit. Greek art, Campania, 4th century B.C. H. 16.5 cm. A bronze cup with missing pedestal and handles (Hellenistic art).
