Pedro II (1825-1891). Emperor of Brazil (1831-1889). Key of honor of the Palace of Rio (Brazil), in gilded bronze. Ring with the figure "PII" under a crown with leafy arms surmounting a dragon with wings spread on a sphere. Stem round. Bearing four crosses. 19th century. Length. 17.5 cm. According to the enclosed history, this key was offered by the Emperor Don Pedro II to Augustus of Saxe-Coburg-Kohary (1845-1907), his son-in-law, (son of the Princess Clementine, herself daughter of the French King Louis-Philippe).
