Mantelpiece in finely chased and gilded bronze. The clock topped by a flowering vase with falling garlands, the enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals marked "29 rue Sévigné Paris" is inscribed in a terminal supported by two confronted naiads seated on an entablature, decorated with a frieze of putti in bas-relief, bordered by a frieze of leafy foliage and standing on six spinning tops. Two candelabras with six arms of light on two rows are each carried by a vestal draped in the antique style, standing on a circular base decorated with friezes of water leaves, pearls and foliage. Each element of the set is signed MASSELOTTE With its balance. Louis XVI style, second half of the 19th century.
