FEODOROVNA ROMANOVA, Alexandra, born Alix of Hesse-Darmstadt (1872-1918), wife of Czar Nicholas II of Russia, she was the last empress of Russia and was summarily executed with her family and retinue. Autograph card signed with her initial "A", addressed to one of her ladies in waiting [probably Princess Marie Bariatinsky]. S.l.n.d. 2 pp. in-12 oblong, pencil. Beautiful blue engraved header with the name Alexandra in Cyrillic, surmounted by a crown. In English. About a watch. "If it was an officer's wife the watch won't you & perhaps Mosolov has got one amongst his things. But I thought she was not an officer's wife, then this would have done. - Sonia [her friend Princess Sonia Orbeliani (1875-1915)] might wire to the Princess from me saying that we remain over Xmas [Christmas] here & that we beg her not to travel too early either. - Best love.
