BONAPARTE, Louis, Count of Saint-Leu (1778-1846). P.S. Duplicate containing the state of succession of his wife, Queen Hortense de Beauharnais, duchess of Saint-Leu (1783-1837), daughter of Josephine de Beauharnais and mother of the future emperor Napoleon III. Munich, December 16, 1837 and Arenenberg, December 21, 1837. 1 p. in-folio oblong. Two beautiful armorial seals of black wax preserved. Some minor scratches. Very interesting document (expedition) containing the details of the estate of Hortense de Beauharnais, signed by her husband "Napoleon Louis Bonaparte" and by Berüst (owl coat of arms, key and naval anchor). The total amount of the inheritance is 24 557, 16 Empire florins and 8051, 22 francs, coming from various products and annuities, in particular: life annuity of the Court of Bavaria, life annuity of the Court of Russia, product of the sale of 67 "old promises" of shares of the Bank of Bavaria, etc. Beautiful arms of Louis Bonaparte: quarterly: I and IV, Gules, a lion crowned Or, holding in its dexter paw a bundle of seven arrows Argent, pointed and feathered Or, and in its sinister paw, a sword Argent, hilted Or; II and III, Azure, an eagle Or, head contourned, lowered, impaling a thunderbolt Or.
