Important statue of Kannon in gold lacquered wood, seated in padmasana on a base decorated with lotus petals, hands joined in zenjo-in (meditation gesture), miclos eyes inlaid with sulfur, hair gathered in a high bun. His forehead is encircled by a gilded copper crown, openworked with foliage and floral motifs and decorated with pearls. Behind him, a large mandorla with openwork scrolls and four boddhisattvas and a stupa surmounting them. (accidents, damages and restorations to the mandorla, missing scarf on the left arm, cracks, wear, small accidents) H. Kannon 71 cm. Total height 120 cm.
