HENRI II (1547-1559) Piéfort of the golden Henri to the Gallia. 1555. 14,29 g (quadruple weight) Bust of the king on the right, laureate, wearing a damascene cuirass. R/ Helmeted Gaul seated left on a mound of arms, holding a Nicephorus Victory. In the exergue, Gallia. EB in monogram: different from the Master Etienne Bergeron. Edge inscribed " SOLI DEO HONOR ET GLORIA 1555 ". C. 1258. Very rare. Almost Superb.
