Very large embroidered bridal handkerchief, Point de Gaze, mid-19th century. In linen hand thread very finely embroidered with feather duster and sand stitch of a large frieze with a layout of garlands of foliage, flowers and beautiful fruits with tight berries each adorned with small needle fashions, necklaces of pearls in fall, garland of small pearls and soft leaves cut in the border. Hemmed with a flounce in the Point de Gaze decorated with branches of flowers and foliage, soft cartridges and medallions decorated with modes in elegant recall of the embroidered decor. Cotton cream color (good condition, lace slightly gray)
