Au Donjon du Chateau, (Berlin), Avec privilège d'Apollon, 1750. 2 vol. in-8, marbled calf, smooth spine decorated, red t. and black tom. Rare first collective edition of the works of Frederick II. The first volume contains the "Memoirs to serve the history of the house of Brandenburg" and is complete with the two large folded genealogical tables. The second volume contains the poetic works and letters in verse and prose. This edition having been partially destroyed, complete copies of both volumes are very rare. Brunet thinks that only volume I was printed, and immediately removed and destroyed with "the most meticulous care". Ex-libris Viscount de Noailles. Binding rubbed. Rare russets.
