A carved marble head of Cupid (Greek Eros) with rounded fleshy features, wavy hair swept back from the temples; stand bar protruding from the underside. 1.5 kg, 14 cm (5 1/2 in.). Acquired between 1970-1989. Private collection, U.S.A. with Christie's, London, 14 April 2011, lot 291. Property of a S.W. London gentleman.
