Greek Gold Ring with Turreted Garnet, Circa 5th-3rd century B.C. A gold ring with flat-section body composed of four rows of gold wire, with rounded terminals which overlap at one shoulder, turreted bezel with coiled wire body and granulated collar, set with a polished garnet cabochon. 3.76 grams, 33.86 mm overall, 21.35 mm internal diameter (approximate size British W 1/2 , USA 11 1/4, Europe 25.66, Japan 24) (1 1/4 in.). Acquired 1970-2010. Collection of a late Japanese gentleman.
