Egyptian Gold Baboon Amulet, New Kingdom-Roman Period, 1550 B.C.-323 A.D. A gold amulet formed in the round as a baboon, sacred to the god Thoth, walking on all-fours on a slender base, with simple anatomical detailing and suspension loop to one face.
