He joined the studio of his uncle, the photographer Boris Lipnitzki, in the early 1950s, where he spent three years. He then worked for France Dimanche, Paris-Match, Jours de France, Lui but also for advertising. He photographed celebrities such as Dali, Céline or Audrey Hepburn.
