Kingdom of Saxony, World War I. Officer's helmet model 1895, worn by the Infantry Regiments n°101 to 107,133,134,139,177 to 179, 181 and 182. Patent leather bomb, visor with brass rim. All brass parts originally gilded (remains). Plaque with the Arms of the Kingdom of Saxony in nickel silver on a radiating brass background. Scalloped cockades of the Officers' model. On the right side the "Reichskokarde" in the national colors "black-silver-red" and on the left side the "Landkokarde", here of a Prussian model "silver-black-silver" whose black ring has been painted green. Leather-lined brass scale chinstraps with rosettes, model 1871 for Officer. Small removable fluted brass point, on round base, fixed by three rivets with star-shaped head and in its lower part, pierced with two air holes and decorated with a pearl ring. Inner cap in soft brown leather and brown silk. Presence of the size marking in pencil in the bottom of the cap "57 1/2". The underside of the visor covered with green coated canvas and the nape of the neck with red coated canvas. Helmet worn. H. total 23 cm (H. tip with its base 11 cm). (wear and patina of time, missing a rivet with a star-shaped head to fix the base of the tip, the left trigger guard of the plate is damaged and missing, the washers to fix the rosettes of the chinstraps in the bomb are missing, otherwise headgear in good condition).
