France, Third Republic (1870-1940). BUFFALO rifle with annular percussion and with two gauges, of the French Manufacture of Arms and Cycles of St Etienne. Cal. 6 and 9 mm. Serial number 17674. Round barrel with sight and rear sight with two shots drilled and rifled in the mass, in its bronzing of origin. It is marked "ACIER HERCULE" with St. Etienne proof mark on the left side. The bolt action is marked on the top "Manufacture Française d'Armes et Cycles de St Étienne" and "Carabine Buffalo MF" with a logo in the center of the barrels embroidering an arrow. The frame is finely chiseled with arabesques. Stock and handguard in varnished walnut with checkering, black ebonite buttplate. Complete. Functional mechanism. Inside of the barrels mirror. 100,5 cm (barrel 57,5 cm). (good state of conservation). Weapon classified in category "D2" of the decree n° 2018-542 of June 29, 2018, free acquisition and possession.
