Description

France, Third Republic (1870-1940). Helmet of Chasseur à Cheval model 1913 of the manufacturer "B. FRANCK & SES FILS AUBERVILLIERS". Beautiful bomb in nickel-plated steel bordered with a brass ring, with five holes-suckers, without shock nor deformation. The back of the bomb is stamped with the manufacturer's marking "B. FRANCK & SES FILS AUBERVILLIERS", "A" (twice) and size marking "56". The underside of the visor in its original green lacquer and the underside of the neck cover in its original black lacquer. Brass crest composed of two fins stamped with a series of 13 gadroons. Mask with palmette in the lower part and medusa head in the upper part. The braided mat is present and the mane is in its effective length of 60 cm. Headband stamped in brass with a hunting horn in nickel silver on a radiant background. Pair of chinstraps with scales and rosettes in brass, to the model. Complete with its inner cap in brown basane with seven wolf teeth. The plume holder is equipped with a plume in scarlet rooster feathers, the olive is missing. Complete. Worn. (small traces of oxidation rust flower on the bomb in places and spots of white paint in the visor and nape of the neck, good condition).
