Description

France, Third Republic (1870-1940). Helmet Troupe de Dragon model 1874. Nickel-plated bomb with small traces of oxidation in places, with three holes-suction, without shock, nor deformation. The back of the bomb is stamped with the manufacturer's markings "HELEBRONNER", "C *" (twice), "B" and size marking "57" (twice). Crest composed of two fins stamped with a series of 12 gadroons. Mask with palmette in the lower part and medusa head in the upper part. The braided braid is present and the mane is in its effective length of 65 cm approximately. Headband, in brass, stamped with a flaming pomegranate surrounded by laurel leaves. Pair of chinstraps with 15 brass scales and rosettes, to the model. Complete with its inner cap in brown basane with seven wolf teeth, inscribed with an illegible manufacturer's marking. A leather lace, probably original, maintains the wolf teeth (not disassembled for the expertise). The visor and neck cover bands are present. The plume holder is equipped with a scarlet rooster feather plume, the olive is missing. Complete. Worn. (headgear in its uncovered state, good condition).
