France, Restoration (1814-1830). Officer's gibbet of Cavalry model 1814. Wooden case covered with leather, brass sides, the pattelette bordered with a gilded brass rim and decorated in the center with a gilded brass motif with the Arms of France surmounted by a crown, the whole framed with palms on a background of flags fleurdelisés. Black leather band complete with its gilded brass trimmings, decorated with feather patterns and a royal crown not openwork linking with three chains with pins a gilded brass shield stamped with a fleur-de-lys. Box: 8 x 14.5 x 3 cm. Pattelette : 15 x 11 cm. (wear and accidents of use, the leather of the banner posterior, the leather tab of closing of the casket pattelette damaged, fairly good condition).
