Edition in-18 of Béranger's songs made up of the 3 volumes of songs published in 1829, of the volume 4 published in Brussels the same year, including the erotic songs, of the partly original edition of 1833 of the Chansons nouvelles et dernières and of the collection of engraved scores of the author's songs. The illustration includes a portrait of the author engraved by Dutillois after Scheffer (printed in 1834), and 104 engraved hors texte vignettes after drawings by the brothers Johannot, Grenier, Charlet, Grandville, etc. Copy enriched with the volume of engraved music, published by Savaresse and decorated with a portrait of the author in frontispiece, lithographed by Julien. It is complete with the supplement of 8 pages, bound in fine. Beautiful set in a uniform binding of the period. Small stains on the spine. Some foxing. TASSE (Le) - BAOUR-LORMIAN (Pierre-Marie-François). La Jérusalem délivrée, translated into French verse by P. L. M. Baour-Lormian. Second edition, revised and corrected. Paris : Ambroise Tardieu, 1821. - 2 volumes in-8, red half-maroquin with corners, spine with false nerves decorated with gilt and cold motifs, untrimmed (Purgold Hering). New edition of the translation in French verse given by Baour-Lormian of this famous epic poem by Le Tasse. It is dedicated to King Louis XVIII. The illustration includes a portrait of Le Tasse after De Seve, and 3 engraved plates after drawings by Chasselas, Bergeret and Desenne, the same as in the 1819 edition. Copy on vellum paper, including the illustrations before the letter. Splendid contemporary bindings by Purgold, one of the major bookbinders of the early 19th century. He was at that time associated with the English bookbinder Hering. Their collaboration lasted only 5 years from 1820 to 1825. Some slight rubbing from use. Some foxing. [MILLOT (Claude-François-Xavier). Abrégé de l'Histoire romaine. Paris : Nyon l'aîné & Fils, 1789. - In-4, seeded calf, gilt roulette on the boards, smooth spine decorated, gilt roulette inside, gilt edges (Bozérian). Very beautiful edition, sought after for the quality of the engravings it contains. It is illustrated with a frontispiece engraved by Tardieu after J. B. Piauger, and 48 plates of which 9 after Gravelot, 28 after Saint-Aubin, 3 after Eisen and 4 after Bolomey. The remaining 4 are not signed. The plates 35, 39 and 46 are folding. A very nice copy bound by Bozérian. Several browned leaves. Provenance : A. Perreau, with ex-libris and autograph signature.
