Edition illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author, after Bonnat, and woodcut compositions in the text and on full page by E. Gaspérini after A. Bouchet. One of the 40 first copies on japon impérial. Superb mosaic binding by Gruel. Hinges cracked, silk of the linings unstuck in places.
