Chief surgeon of the Grande Armée, Dominique Larrey followed Napoleon I in all his campaigns. He was a pioneer in the field of battlefield casualty care, providing care in the field as soon as possible, using mobile surgical ambulances. Autograph certificate signed, dated August 4, 1814, attesting to Mr. Bourgeois' wounds received at the Battle of Leipzig in October 1813. 1 page in-4, with wax seal."
