"[Medicine] Lot of handwritten prescriptions : - Jean-Samuel POZZI, French physician, surgeon and anthropologist (Bergerac 1846- 1918), one of the pioneers of modern gynecology. Autograph prescription signed in 1902, with pharmacy stamp (1 page in-4). - baron Guillaume DUPUYTREN (Pierre-Buffière (Haute-Vienne) 1777-1835), French anatomist and military surgeon. He left his name to an irreducible contracture of the palm of the hand described in 1831 and to a type of fracture of the ankle. He died of an appendicitis attack, following his refusal to undergo surgery. Autograph prescription signed in 1825 concerning a sprain of the ligaments of the foot (1 page in-8). - François Henri HALLOPEAU (1842-1919), French dermatologist. Autograph prescription signed in 1896 concerning burns of the face and scalp (3 1/2 pages in-12). - Alfred-Armand-Louis-Marie VELPEAU (Brèches (Indre-et-Loire) 1795-1867), French anatomist and surgeon, inventor of the bandage which bears his name, the Velpeau bandage. Autograph prescription signed in 1857, with pharmacy stamp (1 page in-8, ex-libris stamp of Dr Thorek).
