Description
Pair of silver torches, the round base with doucine and gadroon moldings, the umbilicus decorated with lambrequins, the neck with enrubanné fillets; the truncated conical shaft applied under the upper terrace of four female masks and the base of the tap, chiseled with flutes and long gadroons on an amati background, the tap with median belt. Master goldsmith's mark attributed to Philippe-Antoine Filassier, probably the same as the previous Antoine-Philippe Filassier, received in 1720 (see H.Nocq. Paris 1768, "le poinçon de Paris" volume II, p. 173 and 174) Paris, 1722-1723 H. 23 cm.
